Cornelly Development Trust

Since we were established in 2005, we have been committed to creating opportunities and improving lives within our community.

As an independent charitable trust, we are not funded by the government or local council. Instead, we rely on grants, fundraising, donations, and the support of our volunteers and community to continue delivering projects and services that make a real difference.

Across four key areas, we deliver initiatives that create positive, sustainable outcomes for both people and the environment. Community-led at every level, we partner with people within the community to drive long-term transformation, enabling communities to take ownership of their future and develop thriving, inspiring neighbourhoods.

Cultural Lives Culture is at the heart of every community, shaping identity, creativity, and connection. We champion cultural opportunities by supporting festivals, art projects, heritage crafts, and the development of new skills, helping people within the community to express themselves and ensure their cultural life continues to thrive.

Social Lives Building strong connections is essential for creating vibrant communities. Through inclusive projects and welcoming community hubs, we help people come together, strengthen relationships, and develop a greater sense of belonging, with social wellbeing embedded throughout everything we do.

Environmental Lives We work with people within the community to create a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future. Through initiatives such as litter-picking, wildflower meadow planting, and community food-growing projects, we help improve local spaces while supporting the health of our environment.

We believe that every person has the potential to create a positive and meaningful change in their own life.

Rather than making assumptions about the challenges people face, we take time to listen, build trusted relationships, and understand the individual's circumstances.

By providing a safe and supportive environment, personalised guidance and practical solutions, we help people overcome barriers, build confidence and achieve lasting change that benefits both the individual and the wider community.
